The Camera Club supprted the Mere Cancer Research campaign on Saturday. Putting on a display of prints for sale plus a donation. The picture shows David Chedgy passing over a cheque to Harvard Dallibar.
Multi Club Print Competition
Frome Wessex Camera Club battled it out with Salisbury, Norton Radstock, Devizes, Calne and Warminster at their Prints competition on Saturday. Salisbury came 1st with 180 points, beating us into 2nd by just 1 point.
Alan Denison’s ‘Couru’ won Best in Competition while Loveday Powell was the highest individual scorer with a 20 for her ‘Venetian Lamp Post’ and 19 for Dancer with Tutu’ so congratulations to our star performers and we can all be well pleased with the results. An evening with Damien Demolder and Adrian Vince
Photographer, journalist and Educator Damien Demolder will give a talk on street Photogrpahy along with photographer Adrian Vince, who will be demonstrating the latest Panasonic range of cameras and lenses.

2017 Photographic Exhibition
An exciting new venture for the Club: starting 22nd June, the FWCC is putting on a year-long, rolling exhibition changing the photographs approximately every two months in Diva’s Café, Black Swan Arts, Bridge St, Frome. Why not pop in for a tea, coffee & a bite to eat, take a look at the photographs on display, and pick up a brochure all about the Frome Wessex Camera Club.

An Evening with William Cheung
Frome Wessex Camera Club held an Evening with William Cheung as part of this years Frome Festival on Wednesday evening 6th July 2016, It was an entertaing show with Will demonstrating his own passion for photography.

William Cheung FRPS has been a keen photographer for over three decades and has been a member of the specialist photographic press for 30 years.
He achieved his Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society in 1982 and got his Fellowship the following year in the Pictorial category with a portfolio of black & white prints.
Favorite subjects include pictorial, landscape and travel, plus he also enjoys tackling macro, portraits and studio work. He calls himself a ‘specialist at being a non specialist.’
He joined the editorial staff of Practical Photography magazine in 1985 where he worked for 19 years, over ten years of which he was the title’s editor.
In 2003, he joined Archant Specialist as editorial director of its imaging titles, which included Professional Photographer, Which Digital Camera and Photography Monthly.
He is currently editor of Photography News, a free newspaper distributed to camera clubs and through leading photography retailers.
He is also a regular judge and lecturer on the club and international circuits and is a member of the RPS’s Travel Associate and Fellowship distinction panel.
